Hive is a ransomware strain first identified in June 2021. Built for a Ransomware-as-a-service model, it lets even inexperienced criminals mount attacks against targets worldwide, including healthcare and energy providers, charities, and retailers. During 2022 the codebase was migrated from GoLang to Rust.
