Chaos, also known as FakeRyuk, RyukJoke, Yashma, is a Windows malware family.

Background

A still-evolving ransomware family that an unidentified actor put out in June 2021. Its builder was originally branded as a "Ryuk .Net Ransomware Builder" despite having no actual relationship to the Ryuk family. At present it exhibits trojan-like behavior while missing capabilities usually associated with ransomware, such as data exfiltration.
