Triout

Bitdefender described Triout as a Android spyware, which appears to act as a framework for building extensive surveillance capabilities into seemingly benign applications.

Triout is a Android malware family.

Background

Bitdefender characterized Triout as Android spyware that functions as a framework for embedding broad surveillance features into otherwise harmless-looking apps. Discovered bundled inside a repackaged application, it conceals itself on the device while recording phone calls, capturing incoming SMS messages, recording video, snapping photos, and gathering GPS coordinates, all of which it relays to an attacker-controlled command and control (C&C) server.
