Background
SpyEye is malware that goes after both Microsoft Windows browsers and Apple iOS Safari. Originating in Russia, it was sold on dark forums for $500+ and billed as "The Next Zeus Malware". It packed the usual banking trojan capabilities, including keyloggers, auto-fill credit card modules, email backups, encrypted config files, http access, and Pop3 and FTP grabbers. The malware let attackers drain online bank accounts and push transactions even while the legitimate account holder was logged in.
