KnowBe4 describes Pony Stealer as a credential thief capable of decrypting or unlocking passwords for more than 110 applications, spanning VPN, FTP, email, instant messaging, web browsers and beyond. The threat is significant because, after compromising a PC, it enrolls the machine into a botnet and leverages each infected host to spread the infection to additional computers.
