Background

TechCrunch describes this as a remote surveillance application that lets everyday consumers purchase software able to monitor individuals and their data without consent. After it is manually installed on someone's phone or computer (typically requiring the victim's passcode or login), the app keeps uploading copies of the target's information, such as messages, photos, and location data, to pcTattletale's servers, where whoever installed the spyware can view it.
