Background
Microsoft classifies Parite as a polymorphic file-infecting virus family that strikes machines running Microsoft Windows. It spreads by infecting .exe and .scr executables stored locally as well as on network shares with write access. Each infected executable, when run, carries out actions that go on to contaminate additional .exe and .scr files.
