Megacortex is a ransomware deployed in targeted operations against corporate victims. Upon execution it attempts to shut down security-related services, then launches its encryption routine, tagging the affected files with a .aes128ctr or .megac0rtx extension. Lacking any self-propagation of its own, it typically arrives by way of downloaders and trojans.
