According to PCrisk, Mamba is an updated variant of high-risk ransomware called Phobos.

Mamba, also known as HDDCryptor, DiskCryptor, is a Windows malware family.

Background

PCrisk identifies Mamba as a revised version of the high-risk Phobos ransomware. Once it breaches a system, Mamba encrypts the stored files and tacks the ".mamba" extension onto each filename, along with the victim's unique ID and the developer's email address.
