Kimwolf

KIMWOLF is an android based malware which uses compromised systems to relay malicious and abusive Internet traffic, as well as participating in distributed denial-of-service (DDoS).

Kimwolf is a Android malware family.

Background

KIMWOLF is Android malware that turns infected devices into relays for malicious and abusive Internet traffic and enlists them in distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) activity. It mainly compromises unofficial Android-TV set-top boxes and digital photo frames, and is commonly observed spreading by abusing Android Debug Bridge (ADB) and residential proxies. Several reports point to a link with the Aisuru botnet, positioning Kimwolf as its Android counterpart.
