Kamasers is a Windows malware family.

Background

Kamasers is a DDOS botnet that also provides backdoor functionality by reaching out to an attacker-controlled C2 server. Through this channel it can fetch files, take commands, and run executables, letting it carry out HTTP and DNS flooding attacks, and it is additionally leveraged to reach sensitive files.

Researchers have observed the bot talking to third-party services like Telegram, Discord, and GitHub, which it repurposes as fallback C2 servers.
