FK_Undead, also known as Undead, is a Windows malware family.
Background
This family is distributed chiefly by being bundled with assorted private server clients. It manipulates a host's network traffic using techniques such as TDI filtering, DNS hijacking, HTTP(s) injection, and HOSTS redirection, diverting legitimate web requests to designated private server sites. To resist detection, it employs methods including blocking the cloud-detection data packets of security software and rewriting shutdown callbacks.
