Background
First identified in 2017, it has been employed in attacks against organizations worldwide ever since. Delivery commonly happens through phishing emails or by abusing flaws in outdated security software. After Crimson RAT lands on a machine, operators can use it to exfiltrate data, surveil users, and even seize control of the compromised systems.
