BlackPOS infects computers running on Windows that have credit card readers connected to them and are part of a POS system.

Background

BlackPOS targets Windows machines that are part of a POS system and have credit card readers attached. Such systems are readily compromised when they run outdated operating systems and antivirus software, or when their database administration accounts are protected only by weak login credentials.
